Day 13 - Riffing

Today is the day. Your day to riff on tweets that you like.

Yesterday you wrote down five successful (they were supposed to have 50 likes) tweets that you liked.

Start with a tweet and dissect the format of it. Adapt the format to your subject.

I'm going to use a tweet that came up in my timeline (@thedankoe) that has over 1000 likes:

(Interesting aside. Dan originally tweeted this on Aug 1, 2021, but was retweeting it on April 9, 2022).

Here's my structure:

You can [DO SOMETHING HARD/COOL] with [TASK THAT SOUNDS FANCY]

My audience wants to learn Python. So I might tweet something like.

  • If you spend 30 days of deliberate practice, you can learn the basics of Python
  • You can become a developer with 6 months of highly focused studies or 4 year of college.
  • Start the path to learning Python today. In 14 days you can learn Python with my course.

Your chore today:

Choose two of the five tweets. Adopt them to your subject. Add the "#twitter4devs" tag to them so others in the course can retweet and like them.
