Day 3 - Pinned Tweet
If you are serious about Twitter, you want to convince potential followers to click that "Follow" button.
Think about your use of Twitter. What leads you to follow someone? What did you do the last time you followed someone?
There are generally two mechanisms for following someone. The first is you come across a tweet so inspiring that you are convinced that you should follow this person.
The other common way is that you read a tweet and decide to check out the profile of the author. You read the profile and probably the pinned tweet.
A pinned tweet is a tweet that appears right below the profile. You want to use this tweet to help convince folks to follow you.
Here are some examples of pinned tweets:
Remember, a tweet is only 280 characters, but you can leverage a "thread" in your pinned tweet. A thread is a series of tweets. Use a thread to share more content.
Your task today is to write a pinned tweet. Use the previous examples for inspiration and create a pinned tweet. (Don't take too much time, you can always pin a different tweet later).
After you have pinned your tweet, copy the URL for it. Then post another tweet similar to this:
"I just pinned this tweet. Do you like it? #twitter4devs [PASTE URL HERE]"
